Jonathan M. DeGuzman Scholarship
This is a scholarship in honor of Jonathan M. “JD” De Guzman, a San Diego Police Department (SDPD) officer who was slain in the line of duty in July 2016. Officer “JD” De Guzman had been an SDPD officer for over 16 years and his dedicated service and community involvement in the City of San Diego and South Bay region was inspiring. The scholarship is given in honor of De Guzman’s outstanding ability as a police officer and as a role model for the Administration of Justice (AOJ) or Criminal Justice community.
The scholarship is available to any Southwestern College student who is a declared AOJ or CJ major and is a member of the NAO CJ club. Club membership will be verified. Supplemental essay required.
