Caregivers Second Chance at Life Scholarship

This Scholarship, a fund at the Southwestern College Foundation, is for a student whose life has been disrupted by the challenges of being a non-professional caregiver for three or more years. This scholarship will provide some assistance in rebuilding one’s life and lessening the negative impacts from caregiving.

Applicants must have been a non-professional (unpaid) caregiver for at least 3 years, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, have completed a minimum of 12 units at Southwestern College and be currently enrolled in a minimum of 9 units. Student will be required to submit an essay on how they serve as a non-professional caregiver.
