Think Dignity Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to support students who are currently, or have previously, experienced homelessness. Eligible students will:
- Be currently enrolled in a minimum of one class at Southwestern College
- Be in good academic standing (minimum 2.0 GPA and no academic probation)
- Is currently, or has previously, faced homelessness or housing insecurity
- Is currently, or has previously, utilized Basic Needs and/or Cares Assistance (i.e. Jag Kitchen, Cares Closet, Emergency Grants, etc.)
- Respond to the following prompt with a minimum of 500 words:
For 20 years, Think Dignity has been advancing basic dignity for unhoused San Diegans through our impact programs, Dignity Legal Services, and advocacy campaigns. Whether you have benefitted directly from our programs or not, please, tell us about the challenges you have faced experiencing homelessness and how you have overcome these adversities. Describe what dignity means to you, and what impact you hope to achieve through your education.
- Submit a photo and brief testimonial to Think Dignity upon receipt of award

The Think Dignity Scholarship celebrates the resilience and determination of students who have navigated significant challenges in securing stable housing. It honors individuals who demonstrate perseverance, resourcefulness, and commitment to their educational goals despite obstacles. Recipients embody strength, adaptability, and the drive to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
